My favorite sites of 2007, check them out for 08.
I spent a lot of time reading the web last year. I found tons of sites that made it to my daily or weekly reading. Today I would like to highlight a few of my favorites.
These do not fit on any one particular category, check them out for yourself and let me know what you think.
In step with my buddy Steve from Kehlet.cx, I must point you to CodingHorror. This became one of my preferred sites. Jeff’s commentary has an approach –if I may quote Steve– of “enough with the bullshit already.” Content is delivered by using a simple uncluttered design and actually providing suggestions on how to improve the topics he analyzes. Oh yeah and its logo is cool. Like my impression of it?
In the financial arena, there were lots of sites I kept up with regularly. Mostly because their advice and articles are in line with very basic, oft forgotten common sense. 31 Days to fix your finances by The Simple Dollar captured my attention and I’ve been a daily reader ever since. The ever growing The Digerati Life also kept me coming back for more on a daily basis and is sure to stay in my daily RSS reads. Other sites worth mentioning if you are looking for sound financial advice are: Millionaire Mommy Next Door, the author was actually featured on TV recently; Money $mart Life is good as well.
Late in 07, thanks to David and Steve, I found about HDR and quickly became a big fan of Stuck in Customs, one of my favorite photography sites ever. Daily Dose of Imagery is another awesome photography site.
On the personal end of the spectrum, I found Banana Sauce, she’s funny and shares a lot of entertaining personal moments. Chris seems to finally have settled on a theme, which reminds me, I gotta figure something out for mine.
And lastly, on the biggest time wasters of all time, I recommend of course, stumbleupon, Stumbleupon brings Websurfing to a new level and if you give it an honest chance, is guaranteed to find you some of the best sites you’ve ever seen.
