Serious drive thru pharmacy.

Brilliant, xcept for the fumes

In my last trip to Mexico, I thought this was very interesting. They have drive through pharmacies and stores, but not like you know them here in the US. When you’re down there, you don’t pull up to a window and order a few things and wait. They have drive through pharmacies where you actually drive into a small building and people assist you from both sides of the car. You tell them what you want and as you drive through it, they put it in bags then tally it up. You pay at the end and then your bags are delivered to your windows and you’re on your way

Jungle Jail - Animation video

I found this on the web the other day and I hadn’t a chance to share it with you. Its a cool 7 minute animation about a guy that gets put in jail. Its pretty creative and funny.

Non-compete agreements are illegal.

I recently found out that non-compete agreements are illegal in California. There are two small exceptions, but they don’t quite apply to me so I can’t take advantage of those.

Why was I looking for a non-compete agreement in the first place? Well when you are doing business, over time you develop processes and procedures that might give you an edge over your competitors. Maybe you use the data you gather from your customers in certain ways to promote your business or improve on existing products. Perhaps you collect statistics on certain products you sell and you process this information to add new products. Continue Reading “Non-compete agreements are illegal.” »

Flock your photos to Flickr

I’ve been meaning to tell you about Flock, Flock is a relatively new browser on the huge list of available browsers out there; it is based on the same code that powers Firefox. Although I think Flock is a great browser, I prefer Firefox for my day to day web activity. In Flock I use the upload tool the most out of all the Flock features, in fact it is the only thing I’ll tell you about today.

Flickr has an uploader tool, but I don’t like it and it seems to fail whenever I try to use it. There are also other tools available, like juploadr (which I like), but out of all the tools I’ve tried, I like the uploader included with Flock the best. It is simple enough, but has a good set of features.

Starbucks rewards!?

I read this today on Boring Market. I like the idea that regular/loyal customers at starbucks would get addons for free. I would really welcome this benefit. Lately I’ve been cutting back on my white chocolate mochas because they are so expensive, I usually get a quad shot and those 2 added shots really drain your wallet. I know I probably should just cut Starbucks out of my diet and budget altogether but its so good! Before I read about this, I had been pondering on the idea of a rewards type of system that would work at Starbucks. I thought that there should be an “unlimited” plan so to speak. The God Delusion

I told you my next book to read would be The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. I started reading it, but unfortunately I got distracted with my San Francisco trip and Mexico WRC trip. After coming back I’ve been catching up and doing some development on my business. I finally got some time to sink into this book again last night. With that said, I think I’ll have a review of the book ready soon. Its good so far, I think its engaging but I was put off a little bit by the seeminly apologetic introductory chapter. Where Hitchens pulls no punches, and Harris simply tells the facts, Dawkins is more reserved and diplomatic.

Before I decided it was time to pick up my book again, I revisited a video I saw a while ago. David sent it over, and it is one of my favorite videos. I love the introductory minute.

Gauging Age of Universe Becomes More Precise

Interesting article by the New York Times.

The universe is 13.73 billion years old, give or take 120 million years, astronomers said last week.

Irrefutable proof for evolution?

I see a video like this as proof that evolution, is indeed true and affected by the survival of the some genes. In this case, the natural selection factor of the equation is substituted with the manual selection of the parents. In a way, this shows that overtime, animals do evolve and we can roughly select certain traits to be passed on. The motivations for breeding this cow are certainly monetary, but I’m sure that there’s a lot to learn from in regards to to genetics, and evolution. Funny Insurance commercials

I found a few of these commercials. From the various videos I’ve found, they are one of those companies that can insure anything. Hope you like them. Each is just over a minute long but very funny. Continue Reading “Funny Insurance commercials” »

Bizarre news, Lady stuck to a toilet

I found this while reading some of my news feeds this morning. This is just way too bizarre to explain. Check it out…

The boyfriend called police on Feb. 27 to report that “there was something wrong with his girlfriend,” Whipple said, adding that he never explained why it took him two years to call.

Police found the clothed woman sitting on the toilet, her sweat pants down to her mid-thigh. She was “somewhat disoriented,” and her legs looked like they had atrophied, Whipple said. - link.

There are also a few other similar reports, ksn, congoo, yahoo, story is by the AP.
